Introducing
you to the unique features Bushido Blade 2
Basic rules of Bushido Blade 2 include: single hit fatality system ("one
death blow"), body damage system (where the character is incrementally
weakened by successful attacks) and death by fall (character will die
if they fall from a location highter than 20 feet). In addition to these,
here are some other unique techniques you can carry out in this game.
Attack
System
It's all about timing To better approximate real sword fighting, the controls
in Bushido Blade 2 attacks have been narrowed down to two buttons (O and
X). The O button executes the 'face' or front attack while the X button
does the 'flip' or back attack. There exists no 'defense' button, hence
you must counterattack when attacked in order to block or perform your
own attack before an opponent can execute theirs.
Karami
Waza
While all of the weapons in Bushido Blade 2 are capable of dealing death
at a distance, some characters can bring it up close and personal. Karami
waza is a unique move that involves martial arts skills that can only
be used when characters are close to each other. As in exclusive moves,
only certain characters can use these moves when they have particular
weapons and stances. There are several moves of this type - experiment
to discover them all.
Two
Weapon Fighting
Certain characters (Tatsumi, Utsusemi, Matsumushi, Hotarubi,
Highway Man) are blessed with the ability to fight with two single-handed
weapons simultaneously.
